How do you rent movies while on the road?

It is possible torrent movies while you are on the road. You can even park your RV and watch it right therein the parking lot near a rental location, like Blockbuster. DVD players will run off of the house or engine battery or play it on your laptop.

Redbox is a DVD kiosk that rents movies for only one dollar($1) a night. The Redboxes can be found at grocery stores and places like McDonalds in 46 states (not including Alaska, Mississippi, Hawaii and South Dakota). The web site features an interactive locator in which you can enter a zip code or address to find the closest redbox location and request the movie of your choice.

For $9.99 a month you can download as many movies as you want from Vongo. No waiting for the title you want.

• The average movie takes from 30 minutes to 1 hour to download. The quality is almost DVD. The movies take up about 1 Gig of memory on your hard drive. After a certain length of time the movie file will self erase. Vongo works only with Windows Vista.

Both Blockbuster and Netflix offer online ordering. However they can only ship to one address, which makes ordering near impossible (or at least complicated) when you move often. DVDs usually arrive within 1-2 business days. These services may work for you if you can stay parked for a while.

Buy

Keep an eye out for bargains at dollar stores. Then you can recycle and pass the DVDs. So your RV doesn't get over-run by your collection.

In Independence Day , Will Smith combines forces with patriotic citizens in RVs to save the planet from aliens. (Extra useless trivia: you can spot the FOTR web designer in a gray suit sitting next to Judd Hirsch on Air Force 1 and the President (Bill Pullman) says "Kim, my daughter" to her.)

In Meet the Fockers Robert DeNiro and Blythe Danner travel in an RV to Florida to meet the parents of their future son-in-law.

A T-X model terminator, or a cyborg programmed especially for killing (Arnold Schwarzenegger) has been sent back in time to kill John Connor (NIck Stahl) who in the future is supposed to lead the humans in defeating the machines. To hide from them, Stahl and his wife(Claire Danes) have been living "off the grid" and escape from the T-X model in an RV and save the world from Armageddon in Terminator 3.

Cuba Gooding Jr., Emilio Estevez, and Jeremy Piven are three friends running from a gang of criminals after they witness a murder. They drive an RV in Judgment Night to a boxing match, but with one wrong turn, they're fighting for their lives.

In their specially designed RV, scientists Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern encounter danger with a T-Rex and other prehistoric beasts in Jurassic Park.

Two buddies (Bill Murray) join the army because they are bored with their dead-end jobs. They end up undertaking a daring rescue mission behind the Iron Curtain in a top-secret RV in Stripes.

John Candy and Bill Pullman travel through space in an RV to save a princess from an evil lord in Spaceballs (one of several parodies of Star Wars)

In About Schmidt Jack Nicholson feels lost because he has retired and his wife died. He and his wife had been planning to take a cross-country trip in an RV, so instead he decides to take the trip alone to explore his roots and attend his daughter's wedding.
